Evaluating the labor market today, we find according to the national statistics of the employment market we have a vast majority of baby boomers who are becoming unemployed. As the market adjusts to the financial sting many of these boomers have developed a sense of curiosity of questioning does age matter? Perhaps it the underline tones that nobody wishes to speak about.
Also this has become openly notice when shopping or communicating with major companies we must work with everyday; Integration of the New Pop Culture has not been a welcoming experience for many, Lets face it the new Pop Culture are more technical suave than baby boomers although customer service has taken a plunge we still find ourselves with unanswered questions of why?
Training classes on diversity may be helpful however, teaching our seniors how to effectively utilize the computer could have made an affective amount of difference working together sharing the of the wealth, Now what has been created is a group of independent adults, who must look towards the government to fund early retirement. Along with companies wondering why their production rate has dropped over what was once projection of their annually census is now, null and void;
Providing the training in many communities would not cost the tax payers it just seems it is the right thing to do. Believing in the old adage "give a man a fish he will feed himself " or "teach a man to fish and he will feed a nation".
In our society today careers last about 5year average much difference in time to the twenty years, then retire with the gold watch. Just does not happen any longer although a great number of seniors are now experiencing second time around families raising their grandchildren. We need to look at this situation in great depths before we will have to pay at a greater cost.
